Torr Waterfield Team Relay for The Spark Arts for Children

On Saturday the 20th March the Torr Waterfield team took part in a relay of walking, running or cycling to raise funds for The Spark Arts for Children.

Fundraising has been harder in the current climate and we were eager to get some vital money donated to this fantastic charity. The relay offered a great opportunity to safely raise money individually but overall as a team event.

We had 4 relay events happening from 9am to 6pm, so 4 people out at any one time taking one-hour slots.

The team could choose between, Running Cycling or Walking. 49 team members took part in total some even took on all three relays! We had fab weather for the day a little chilly but dry and sunny. We documented our walk on our group WhatsApp sending photos and videos of us starting and finishing. It was great to see everyone taking part and all the locations around Leicester people had chosen.

We have raised just over £2,800 which is fantastic. Carrie Carruthers had this to say "Just looking at the Just Giving page – what a brilliant result! Well done and thanks so much to everyone involved."
