A Well Deserved Director

We are delighted to announce that Alistair Ferris is now a well deserved Director

Prior to Torr Waterfield Alistair was a director of Austin Berridge Ltd, a curtain and blind manufacturer and retailer. A business owned by his family.

Alistair ‘learned the ropes’ of business from the bottom up, initial duties included; cleaning the shop windows every morning, dusting the showroom and making tea for the team! After 10 years of hard work Alistair took over the running of the business and was appointed a director.

To further expand his knowledge and being unsatisfied with the external accountant of the company, he decided to attend evening classes at De Montfort University to gain the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants
(ACCA) qualification.

In 2006 the family sold the business; and he started his accountancy career with Torr Waterfield.

He has now been with us for over 10 years, has progressed to be a Fellow of the ACCA and uses his ‘hands on’ business knowledge and accounting skills to support his widening and varied client portfolio.

Alistair has a partner Sarah and children, Evie 12 and Frank 8.
